A Place To Call Home

As some of you already know, the past few years I have taken up running. Jogging really.When we moved into our new (old) home, we moved into a town that was really lacking in fitness centers. So in order to even go to a gym, a long drive is involved. For as much time as it takes to get there I can already have a really great run. As you know, I am all about being available to my little guy. So built out of practicality was born a slow obsession. It literally started with a 2 minute burst between walking. I remember those days thinking I was such a loser...two minutes? I could walk for hours, bike amazing lengths, rollerblade, swim across a lake, etc. but only run two minutes? WTF?A few years later and I am now training for a half marathon. It will probably take 3 hours to complete the marathon. 2 minutes to 3 hours is not too shabby. I am not there yet, but I will be.So why blog? Well a DD peep of mine does this and I find her blog interesting (Hey Jen!). And I wanted a home for my journey. I wanted a place to display proof of this trip. Postcards from the road for all my supportive peeps and fellow Rum Runners and even myself.So here goes nothing!Enjoy the ride!
